Full text search of newsTo search for words or phrases in news stories, use the new Full Text Search from the News Window. This will search in both today's and historical news, and in both headlines and news stories. Several words can be combined in the same search for powerful searches. This option is available by clicking on "Quick-Filter" in the News Window (Ctrl+3). Filter, Highlight and Search in Symbol NewsThe Symbol News window now has all the same functionality as the News Window. Quick-Filter, Quick-Highlight or Full Text Search, all within the news stories for that particular symbol. New charts in Index OverviewThe Index Overview window (available by double-clicking on an index), can display up to three different graphs, based on available data. Switch between Index Movers, Intraday or Historical charts by clicking on the tabs above the graphs. Improvements to Company OverviewThe Company Overview window (Ctrl+Shift+P) has more analytical graphs and the Listings page has an improved layout.
FX Spot Window and GridThe FX Focus Window and Grid displays bid and ask rates for a single or a group of currency crosses. This window is an alternative to the Focus Window, with the difference that it displays both bid and ask, with enlarged pips. To open the grid go to File | New | FX Spots, or right-click on a group of currency symbols and select Symbol Details | FX Spots. To open the window for a single currency cross, right-click the symbol and select Orderbook (Ctrl+D). FX Forwards GridThe FX Forwards Grid provides a fast and easy overview of FX forward points for selected currency crosses. To open the window go to File | New | FX Forwards, or right-click on a group of currency symbols and select Symbol Details | FX Forwards. FX Forward Calculator (broken date calculator)The Infront FX Forward Calculator allows you to calculate forward points and rates for a currency pair and any value (settlement) date, display forward curves as well as points charts. The calculator adjusts for non-banking days and informs you about specific holidays and weekends. In addition, it allows you to set a Pricing Date in the past to extract the points and rates for the date chosen and display the adjusted forward curve. You can easily setup a broken date schedule with several date lines for a quick overview of the upcoming transaction prices. To open the calculator, go to File | New | FX Forwards Calculator. The calculator can also be opened from a currency symbol by right-clicking on the symbol and select FX Forward Calculator.
FX Contributors ViewThe World Forex Plus and World Forex Forwards Plus contains real-time contributions from many of the leading international banks and dealers. To easier get an overview of the different contributors on a particular currency-pair, open Symbol Overview and go to the Contributors tab. This view will display the latest quote from each contributor. Create own currency crossesCurrency crosses not on the World Forex or World Forex Plus feed can be calculated. Simply type in the cross needed in the List-tab. If the currency cross is not part of the feed, a calculated symbol will be created. This calculated symbol can be placed in composite lists, but charting or history will not be available. USD is used as the basis for the calculations. Convert currencies in Search and Command (Ctrl+F)The search and command field can also be used to quickly convert an amount to another currency. Just click the field or press Ctrl+F and type in amount and currency to and from, e.g.: "1000 USD to CHF". You can click on the result to copy it to the clipboard. Calendar - look and feelCalendar layout has been improved to display the values in a more clear and accurate way.Calendar filterThe Calendar has a Quick-Filter that allows you to filter which macro- or company events are displayed. Click on "Quick-Highlight", change to "Quick-FIlter" and start typing in the filter word.
You can now select news sources to be displayed in the Calendar Window, and save your choice as part of a Filter for later use. Calendar expand/collapse and setupEvents with sub-events in the Calendar can now be expanded or collapsed. Click on the plus/minus-sign next to the event to expand/collapse a single event. Expand or collapse all can be performed from the right-click menu. You can also select in the Filter panel whether the filter should be default expanded or not with the "Expanded" check box. It is also possible to set up alerts for children of parent events. For example, you can set up an alert for Monthly Retail Sales while ignoring Yearly Retail Sales.
Recurring economic calendar alertsIt is now possible to set up permanent, recurring calendar alerts for specific events: Set an alert once and be automatically notified each time new figures are announced. Calendar historyEconomic calendar history is now improved with special focus on Nordic, EU and US key economic indicators. User can open a chart comparing actual and expected values by clicking on the Graph icon in the calendar.NotificationsOne minute before an announcement, you will be notified with a window that counts down until a figure is released. Upon release, the Previous, Expected and Actual values will be displayed. Web LinksWeb links are now available through the terminal by right clicking on an equity symbol and choosing Web Links. It allows quick and direct access to valuable public financial sources such as Reuters News, Bloomberg News, Google Finance, Yahoo Finance, Wikipedia and Google search results. |
