Order Entry

Improved multi-broker support

If you are already logged into two or more order entry providers, the order entry window will now easily let you switch between them by using the Service combo at the top of the window.

Portfolio hierarchy support

The portfolio selector in the Order Status window now supports order entry providers that publish a hierarchical portfolio structure. Note: Most providers do not have this enabled yet.

Visual indication of missing symbol mapping

In some cases the client application may not be able to identify the quote information symbol that corresponds to the identifiers contained in an order. In that case the Market column may contain the trading marketplace code instead of the quote feed code, the market price and value will be missing and so on. To make this issue more visible, these orders will now be marked with an exclamation mark in a yellow triangle.

To solve the issue, the user may have to open the market window for containing the symbol.

Scheduled export of orders and trades lists

There is a new optional module (that must be enabled centrally with the package called Advanced: Order Entry - Export Module) that enables periodic automatic export of the orders and trades list in the Order Status window.

The exported data is the same that can be stored manually with the Edit | Save as command and support four different formats; MS Excel, XML, HTML and Text.

The functionality is available by selecting Automatic Export from the right-click menu in the Order Status window.

Configure in what time period and how often the export should run and in what folder the files should be stored. Each export operation produces a new file with a filename consisting of the portfolio name, date, time and orders or trades.

Note that the order status window needs to be kept open and the correct portfolio selected during the scheduled exports. The Order Status window indicates that automatic export is enabled in the window caption text.
